Evans Vanodine has viruses taken care of

20 May 2016

Evans Vanodine has introduced a new virucidal disinfectant cleaner, as well as upgrading its alcohol hand rub to a virucidal formulation.

To substantiate that a product is virucidal and suitable for high risk areas, it must be tested according to the appropriate European test method EN 14476. SAFE ZONE PLUS is a proven multi-surface, unperfumed, disinfectant cleaner, effective against viruses, bacteria, fungi and spores. It passes EN 14476 against all enveloped and non-enveloped human viruses, including Norovirus and Influenza, as well as MRSA and C. diff, making it essential in any infection prevention and control programme. It is available in a 750ml RTU trigger and a 5L refill.

HANDSAN, Evans’ 70% alcohol based hygienic hand rub, now also passes EN 14476 against Vaccinia virus with a one minute contact time. This indicates activity against Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Influenza Virus, Herpesvirus and Hepatitis B. The unperfumed alcohol base ensures no residue or odour is left behind and added glycerine helps protect and moisturise skin. HANDSAN is available in 5L, 500ml, 75ml spray and 1L cartridge for the Evans Evolve dispenser.

Both SAFE ZONE PLUS and HANDSAN are ideal in medical areas, such as hospitals, doctors surgeries and nursing homes, as well as in schools, gymnasiums and leisure centres.
