Antimicrobial kneepads
10 December 2013
The Redbacks non-foam, safety kneepad is said to be the first on the market to have built-in Biomaster antimicrobial protection, which uses silver ion technology to attack micro-organisms and the growth of odour-causing bacteria at source, helping to protect the wearer from knee infection and prevent the spread of disease.
The kneepads include the patented ‘Redbacks Cushioning Technology’ which is based on a soft and flexible TPE (Thermo Plastic Elastomer) leaf-spring, set within a honeycomb matrix; this ensures that there is no friction danger of skin abrasion caused by internal shear forces within the knee surface which can be destructive and damaging to tissue, leading to impaired blood flow, pain, tissue breakdown and pressure sores.
