Clean hands all year round

17 February 2014

Whilst norovirus is still a threat for hospitals and healthcare organisations, infection control managers need to ensure hand wash facilities are available throughout the year to prevent outbreaks.

"The only way to stop and contain infection is through washing your hands with soap under hot running water. Alcohol gels simply do not stop all viruses,” says Manty Stanley, managing director at TEAL.

She adds: "The outbreak of infections such as norovirus and C-Difficile lead to ward closures and put a strain on patients and visitors. Portable hand wash stations provide the perfect solution and ensure hand hygiene levels are maintained not just during winter but all year round.”

TEAL design and manufacture a range of mobile hand wash stations which require no access to mains water or drainage.

Providing a range of models, TEAL has recently launched the TEAL Stop n’Wash – a totally hands-free operation. Featuring a synchronised display, it takes users through the automatic hand wash programme and the seven rubbing actions as laid down by National Health Service Guidelines.

TEAL has a range of units to buy or hire with some units available for delivery across mainland UK within 24 hours.
