In the last seven years, Office and General Environmental Services' annual revenues have grown from £8m to nearly £40m, partly as a result of acquisitions. This has meant an increase in smaller locations among its 800 contracts.

Its recent systems review saw a need for greater visibility of gross margin and net profit at site level to protect the bottom line. The result was a decision to licence Templa CMS, a contract management software system with full integration to a standard accounts and payroll package.

Key objectives included: removing the reconciliation overhead between software and spreadsheets, sharing common information from financial and payroll packages, removing paperbased contracts, control of cleaning materials and contracted consumables costs, and site budgeting and analysis.

'An integrated system is the key to the more effective conversion of sales to bottom line profit by keeping costs under control while revenues expand,' confirms Rick Stoor, Templa MD.
