A 2005 TUC report states that up to 11 million UK workers face serious health problems from prolonged standing at work. Each year over two million sick days are lost due to lower limb disorders, with nearly 200,000 people reporting lower limb ailments caused or made worse by their job including workrelated varicose veins, poor circulation and swelling in the feet and legs, foot problems and joint damage.

Zed Chex from Plastic Extruders is designed to relieve standing fatigue caused by long periods of standing or walking on concrete floors. It is manufactured by thermally bonding patented Zedland foam to a tough vinyl chequer plate wear layer, and will not suffer from separation.
