Art Cleaning: 26 years of innovation, excellence, and trusted partnerships
29 April 2025
Art Cleaning has been named ‘Window Cleaning Company of the Year’ by the Federation of Window Cleaners for the second consecutive year.

Founded in 1999 by Director Simon Hart, Art Cleaning has grown from a domestic window cleaning business into a nationally recognised leader in commercial cleaning. With its headquarters in Birmingham and over two decades of experience, the company continues to set industry standards in quality, service, and innovation.
In 2024, Art Cleaning proudly celebrated its 25th anniversary and this recognition highlights not only the company’s outstanding service delivery but also the consistent dedication of its expert team.
A core pillar of Art Cleaning’s success is its deep commitment to client relationships. Understanding the real-world pressures clients face, the team is known for their flexibility, responsiveness, and genuine partnership approach. This has led to enduring collaborations with prominent organisations, including:
- Nottinghamshire County Council – client since 2007
- Edgbaston cricket stadium - client since 2016
- University of Warwick – client since 2019
Here’s what Ellie Barnes, Contract Officer – Procurement at Nottinghamshire County Council, had to say:
“Art Cleaning are a valued contractor to Notts County Council and have been for some time. The team at Art provide clear and prompt scheduling of our property cleans, they attend with professionalism and punctuality and are a pleasure to work with. Our sites find the window cleaning to be a high standard that satisfies the sites' requirements every time. We have varying degrees of site restrictions or rules, from access time restrictions to short notice closures, and Art are always willing to work with us. Window cleaning is a site requirement we expect to be simple to manage, and thankfully Art do exactly that for us.”
Art Cleaning continues to invest in both innovation and training. A major leap forward has been the rollout of its soft washing and hot pressure washing systems, streamlining operations and boosting on-site efficiency. The high-temperature pressure washing system enhances stain removal, while the soft washing system delivers gentle, effective exterior cleans—ideal for delicate surfaces.
Further supporting excellence in service delivery, Art Cleaning has developed an internal Advanced Window Cleaning training program, covering high-level tasks such as internal curtain walls, stairwells, balustrades, and drip control. This ensures every team member is equipped with specialised skills to meet evolving industry demands.
With strong client partnerships, cutting-edge technology, and a future-focused approach, Art Cleaning is setting its sights on continued growth—and a potential third industry award in 2027.
