Hand hygiene range
21 February 2018
Bradford based chemicals manufacturer Christeyns has expanded its professional laundry range with the addition of hand hygiene products.
Christeyns, a UK market leader of innovative chemicals in the Commercial Laundry market, this month launched a range of three hand hygiene products, aimed initially at the laundry industry but suitable for all environments where high hygiene standards are crucial.
The products, Sanigel, Sanisafe M and Hand Soap, are supplied in 800ml pouches that sit in a wall-mounted dispenser. Sanigel is a hand sanitising antibacterial gel with moisturiser that kills bacteria including MRSA and requires no water or towel drying. Sanisafe M is an alcohol-free version of Sanigel and is dispensed as an easy to use foamy mousse.
The third product is a soothing hand wash with moisturiser that is mild enough for frequent use but strong enough to remove grime and harmful bacteria and prevent cross-contamination by hand.
Keeping hands clean is one of the most important things we can do to avoid getting ill and spreading germs. There are an estimated 1,500 bacteria per square centimetre of the skin on your hand and encouraging good hand hygiene is therefore essential in reducing the spread of germs.
In the laundry workplace this can also help prevent bacteria being transferred to washed linen or work wear garments such as those in the food and pharmaceutical sectors. Hand cleanliness also keeps linen unmarked prior to dispatch.
“This is a natural extension to our product range and we have undergone significant research to ensure that the liquids not only do their job but are easy to use and competitively priced, “said Christeyns Operations Director Dave Aveyard. “Initial feedback has been very positive and we look forward to introducing the range across all our market sectors.”
Synergy LMS offers a range of linen services tailored to the needs of healthcare providers in the UK, operating laundries in Derby, Dunstable and Sheffield.
Kayleigh Dixon, Quality Manager at Synergy commented: “We are already familiar with the high quality of laundry detergents from Christeyns and were happy to trial Sanisafe M. Keeping hands clean and germ free is essential in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness required in our industry and we were so pleased with the results of the trial that we have subsequently placed an order.”
With a continued focus on the environment and the production of innovative but effective solutions, Christeyns is at the forefront of its field, constantly seeking to provide chemicals, systems and solutions that offer the best cleaning results. Complimenting their laundry chemical range with personal hygiene products for use in the workplace is a logical step towards a holistic cleaning catalogue.
