The first line of defence

Unlike a number of products on the market, the DuoMax product range from Duo Tech doesn't carry hazard and safety precautions or require PPE.

The British government has started to recognise these benefits and has implemented DuoMax products in several ‘high risk environments’ including numerous NHS hospitals, NHS Blood Transport vehicles, HMP prisons, schools and education centres, metropolitan police, amongst many others. Large B2B outlets such as 3663 Bidvest, Viking Direct and Bunzl are also starting to make DuoMax a cornerstone of their cleaning and hygiene products.
Any environment that has a high volume of people can potentially be a breeding ground for bacteria and viruses and these are the places in which high performance products are essential. Bacteria have a high-speed of reproduction rate, which enables them to evolve quickly. When inferior cleaning products come into contact with bacteria, they do not actually kill but only temporarily disable the outer membrane.
On impact, DuoMax pierces the outer membrane and breaks down and dismantles the DNA and RNA, therefore the pathogen cannot replicate. This is how DuoMax can significantly reduce the risk of cross contamination that is responsible for a high percentage of infections and outbreaks. According to Duo Tech, that is why Heathrow Airport used DuoMax in the first line of defence during the Ebola outbreak.
It was also during the Ebola outbreak that DuoMax was seen to have such significant results in eradicating the virus that it was asked for by the Minister of Health in Sierra Leone, in conjunction with The Hope Foundation. DuoTech responded by donating DuoMax hard surface cleaner, hand soap, hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes.
DuoTech took the testing of DuoMax to the next level of testing with a 12-month 'NHS Live Hospital Review'. The purpose of the study was to measure the levels of microbial and MRSA contamination on environmental surfaces surrounding patients with MRSA, pre and post cleaning. The study was conducted over 12 months within the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. The trial was supported by Health Facilities Scotland and the Scottish NHS.
The results show that DuoMax was equally effective at removing environmental contamination as a widely used chlorine product. This is an important finding because chlorine-releasing agents have been associated with hypersensitivity reactions in staff and are a large contributor to damaging surfaces and the environment. The study can effectively provide significant evidence that demonstrates DuoMax can replace chlorine-releasing agents without a loss of cleaning efficiency.
