Awards submission window closes
28 October 2024
METSA GROUP'S tissue paper business, Metsä Tissue, has closed the window for entering the 2025 Sustainability Awards.

The window to submit entries for the Metsä 2025 Sustainability Awards closed on 30 September 2024.
A total of 91 entries were received from 46 companies. Nominations were submitted across all five categories and all were automatically entered in the Judges' Choice award.
The deadline for nominations was originally on 31 August 2024, but it was extended by a month due to a large number of requests from potential entrants impacted by the holiday season.
Commenting on the nominations, Mika Paljakka, Metsä Tissue’s SVP UK & Ireland, said: “We are very pleased by the number and the calibre of the entries submitted for the 2025 Sustainability Awards. With 40 percent more nominations received than the 2023 awards, it is clear that the Metsä Sustainability Awards have become a benchmark for the industry.”
The Sustainability Awards were founded in partnership with the Cleaning & Services Support Association (CSSA) in 2023 with the aim of shining a spotlight on sustainability across the cleaning and hygiene industry. The 2025 Sustainability Awards ceremony will be held at the Pelligon in Canary Wharf in London, on 19 March 2025. Tickets are now available to purchase from the website (https://2025sustainabilityawards.com/request-tickets/).
Metsä’s 2025 Sustainability Awards nominated charity is The Hygiene Bank - https://thehygienebank.com/.
The CSSA is run by the Cleaning Industry for the Cleaning Industry. It exists to help businesses Grow, Comply, Change and Innovate. They do this through their accreditations, recognising greatness, key events, online and offline business advice, and having government representation.
