More tonnage & more profit
18 May 2015
With the CB65X semi-automatic Durapac baler from Compact & Bale, Medway Drums can now process 2 tonnes of cardboard per hour, fork-lift feeding, instead of baling 2 tonnes of cardboard all day. This allows them to spend more time looking for more business.

MD George French said: "When starting out our recycling division at Medway Drums we needed an honest and customer focused company to advise on the equipment we needed, which Compact and Bale have always fulfilled."
He added: "We now have two balers on site that will last for years processing over 1000 tonnes of cardboard and plastic per month. If it wasn’t for the quality of equipment we wouldn’t have been able to grow so quickly."
As well as cardboard, Medway Drums had no means of disposing of their plastics efficiently. The BalePress 18 from Strautmann’s ‘Automate to Save’ range was selected enabling Medway Drums to generate further revenue from their waste materials.
