Top marks for laundry systems

The hair and beauty salons are open to the public who can take advantage of treatments carried out by trainees under supervision at competitive prices. This activity requires a lot of fresh towels.  

As part of a recent multi-million pound refurbishment of the campus, the laundry was re-equipped by Armstrong Commercial Laundry Systems with two Primus 16kg and one 10kg washer extractors and two Huebsch H0350 16kg (347 litre) capacity tumble dryers to join one H0220 12kg (217 litre) dryer supplied in 2007.  

Linda Hedderick, who operates the laundry for the hair and beauty department, said the machines can be handling five loads a day. "The machines are efficient and easy to use," she added. "We have been very pleased with the service we have had from Armstrong."

Primus washer extractors range in size from 7-55kg capacity and all feature the Power Wash perforated lifting ribs which offer increased mechanical action and reduced water consumption. The Huebsch Loadstar tumble dryers come in sizes from 11kg (217 litre) to 77kg (1408 litre) capacities and include two stacking models providing two dryers in the same floor space as one.
