Help with laundry budgets
04 August 2014
Mental Health Concern is a not-for-profit organisation operating specialist mental health services in the North East of England, commissioned by the NHS and local authorities.

Many of its CQC registered services have their own laundry with Armstrong supporting all the equipment in return for a single fixed monthly payment.
According to Scott Vigurs, director of services at MHC, this arrangement helps them to manage the budgets and forward financial planning. As equipment comes to the end of its life, Armstrong provides replacement machines ensuring an uninterrupted service.
Mostly the laundries are operated by the care workers and support staff, and wherever possible residents are encouraged to use the equipment with support from staff
Scott Vigurs explained: "The laundries are always very busy – in our larger services they are in use more or less all of the time. It is vital for us to be able to rely on the equipment, and the service if we have any problems. We have been very impressed with both the equipment and the service we have had from Armstrong since they took over our inventory – and the financial arrangement is a considerable help to our financial management.”
