Countertop hand towel dispenser
21 October 2013
New from Tork is a freestanding countertop dispenser designed to give out large, highly absorbent towels one at a time to prevent over-consumption and cross-contamination.

The Tork Xpress Counter Top Multifold Hand Towel dispenser is said to be suitable for upmarket hotels and restaurants; hygiene-critical healthcare and food preparation washrooms and offices.
"In a style-led washroom where the décor is designed to impress, it may not always be the best solution to affix dispensers to the wall,” said SCA's Charlotte Branwhite.
She continued: "Some hoteliers and restaurateurs supply individual textile towels for guests’ use, and these are then dropped into a receptacle for laundering. However, besides the added expense involved in cleaning the towels, they may also be vulnerable to pilferage by unscrupulous washroom visitors.”
The new dispenser is also said to be more hygienic than towels provided in open baskets since it protects the towels from moisture and contamination before use.
