Kevin Meighan becomes new Master of the WCEC
01 April 2026
ON FRIDAY 27 March 2026, Kevin Meighan was officially installed as Master of the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners (WCEC), celebrated at a glorious banquet at Mansion House. He succeeds the former Master, Darren Marston.

Kevin is the sales director at NIC Services Group. He has been a member of the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners since 2007 - and is the first WCEC Master to hold chartership as an accountant and as an environmental cleaner.
Kevin’s tenure as Master, falls in a significant year for the Environmental Cleaners, as the Livery celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2026. He said: “I feel honoured to be the new Master of the Environmental Cleaners.
"The cleaning industry deserves far greater recognition, and the Livery is committed to its continued elevation and standing. We have an exciting year ahead with new initiatives and events that will serve both our members and the wider industry. The momentum must continue to serve that outcome.”
A significant part of Kevin’s attention as Master will be the WCEC Higher Education Bursary Programme which he announced at the Installation Banquet. This scheme will offer financial support to young people whose parents or guardians work in the cleaning industry. The first beneficiary is expected to receive funding in September 2026.
Attendees enjoyed the Installation Banquet in the magnificent surroundings of the Egyptian Hall at Mansion House, and Kevin presented cheques to the Lord Mayor’s Appeal and the Mansion House Scholarship Scheme on behalf of the WCEC charitable foundation.
Joining Kevin Meighan as its new Master, are the new senior warden Phil Smith and junior warden David Cousins.
