Nordic Pioneer, a training company which specialises in workforce development as well as cleaning and environmental apprenticeships, has been presented with the Eric Hill Memorial Award by the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners for the second year running.

The livery company annually presents the award in partnership with the City and Guilds Institute.

It's presented to the college or training centre with the greatest number of successful candidates in a cleaning-related qualification.

'As an organisation, we are passionate about up-skilling the industry and giving existing workforces industry recognised qualifications,' says Di Shakespeare, MD of Nordic Pioneer.

Involved in UK training since 2002, in 2008, Nordic Pioneer began to deliver NVQs in Cleaning and Support Services through the government funded initiative, Train to Gain, and in 2010 embarked on delivering the apprenticeship framework in Cleaning and Support Service Skills.
