So Clean opts for integrated software
23 October 2013
Nick and Simon Gasson are joint MDs of So Clean Cleaning and Support Services.

The company has around 250 clients across London and the South East and a turnover of £4m. They currently rely on five different software systems to manage billing, accounts, payroll, variations/one-offs, quality audits and consumables.
"This creates huge headaches,” Nick says. "I spend too much time scheduling, ordering and invoicing one off work. And let’s not talk about payroll. Sage just doesn’t recognise that cleaning staff can work across multiple sites and cover each other. Then there’s the inefficiency of our Area Managers making payroll amendments on spreadsheets which the admin team then re-key into Sage.”
With the Templa CMS ten core modules, plus Mobile App and Quality Audit for use on Area Managers’ tablets, the brothers are excited about integrated software that will control so many business processes. Two immediate wins are Area Managers viewing and amending real time timesheets online in CMS Pay and using CMS Work Bills to schedule variation work in advance without having to check every week to see what’s due.
Nick adds: "We’re introducing the software in phases and look forward to revenue growth, but without the corresponding increase in costs.”
