Tork manufacturer SCA has been working to improve hygiene in nursery schools as part of its corporate social responsibility.

The company recently ran a pilot study in collaboration with the Swedish Institute for Infectious Disease Control at two nurseries near Gothenburg. The aim of the study was to reduce the spread of infections.

The study revealed that the nurseries used communal textile towels which posed a potential cross-contamination threat.

Some washroom dispensers were found to be mounted too high for small children to use, while push-button soap dispensers were sometimes difficult for them to operate.

Tork recently launched a range of foam soaps housed in a dispenser that has been purpose-designed to allow children and people with reduced hand strength to easily access the soap inside.
