Raising standards with virtual training

25 April 2022

Neil Spencer-Cook Virtual explains how tailored training is helping improve industry standards globally within the professional cleaning community and spearheading the move to offer more online options.

THE BRITISH Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) is exhibiting at Interclean Amsterdam where the BICSc team of experienced experts will share the latest industry insights and developments. They will also highlight how the pandemic-accelerated growth in digital courses is playing a pivotal part in improving education and efficiencies, allowing cleaning operatives to expand their knowledge and skill set, wherever they are located worldwide.

BICSc, whose mission is to educate, inform and train cleaning operatives to the highest standards, is at the forefront of the emerging expansion of digital courses, which offer greater flexibility and are proving particularly popular with cleaning operatives on an international scale.

Virtual Training Suite

Since launching the BICSc Virtual Training Suite just over a year ago, the organisation has been inundated with candidates enrolling for a range of comprehensive and complimentary courses offered online.

Since extensively enhancing its online offering of digital training courses, BICSc has had an unprecedented industry response with more than 15,000 enrolments globally, demonstrating the rising requirement for digital training.

We are thrilled to have such an amazingly positive response to the virtual training we offer, which covers an array of informative, engaging, educational courses candidates can complete, whenever and wherever they are located.

BICSc is passionate about ensuring that specialist, expert-led training is accessible to all which is why we have also included a range of complimentary courses. These are tailored to ease candidates back into the training space, who may not have encountered an educational environment for some time. They are also ideal as they offer a manageable introduction to training for cleaning operatives entering the industry for the first time.

Switching to online digital courses is helping to transform the training landscape and the benefits are multiple for candidates, allowing them to learn at their own pace and plan their personalised training sessions around their work and lifestyle. In turn, businesses benefit because online options eliminate the need for candidates to be taken out of the business operations for substantial periods of time to complete training courses in person.

The rising demand for training

The industry is seeing an overall rising request for training within the sector which is driving the training opportunities for online options.

As well as shining a spotlight on the latest training trends, the BICSc team, who will be situated in the Association Pavilion at Interclean at stand 03.504, will highlight the latest industry innovations.

We are delighted to be back at Interclean Amsterdam, which is a key event for our organisation. It will be the ideal opportunity to share knowledge and insights with our international customers who we have not been able to see in-person over the past two years.

Interclean is the perfect platform to share all the latest exciting developments at BICSc including our innovative new Assessor App, demonstrate our virtual training suite offering, showcase our striking new rebrand and provide vital networking opportunities.

The BICSc Virtual Training Suite hosts an extensive range of digital courses. Within its Cleanlogic courses collection there are an array of free courses which includes:

  • Understanding Chemical Hazard Pictograms
  • Understanding Colour-Coding
  • Understanding PPE
  • CPSS Assessor app user guide
  • Hand Hygiene Explained

Training that is accessible for all is at the core of what BICSc strives for and we are proud to be able to offer such a comprehensive collection of digital courses which continue to educate and equip cleaning operatives to the highest standards.
