Excellerate secures major cleaning contract
16 October 2025
EXCELLERATE SERVICES UK & Ireland has commenced delivery of a major multi-site cleaning and hygiene services contract with the University of Cambridge’s Estates Division.

The partnership, which began on 1 September 2025, covers an initial contract term of 4 years and extends across more than 110 buildings within the University’s estate. This includes a diverse mix of historic and modern facilities, from laboratories and lecture theatres to offices, libraries, residential buildings and public spaces.
With a focus on people, technology, and environmental responsibility, Excellerate is supporting the University’s mission to provide safe, welcoming, and inspiring environments for students, staff, and visitors.
Excellerate brings experience from previous work with the University’s Vet School and its School of Clinical Medicine, and now has responsibility for a much wider scope of services.
During mobilisation, Excellerate undertook comprehensive health and safety preparations, delivered tailored training and onboarding for staff, and began the phased introduction of Velocity, its award-winning contract management platform.
Sustainability has been placed at the core of delivery, aligning to the University’s climate goals.
Fabricio Daniele, account director for Excellerate Services UK & Ireland, said: “We are proud to partner with the University of Cambridge’s Estates Division and to have been entrusted with this significant contract. Our focus is firmly on people, ensuring our team members feel supported, motivated, and aligned with the University’s values. In turn, their work will help to create clean, safe, and welcoming spaces that indirectly support learning, wellbeing, and research excellence. We look forward to developing a long-term, successful partnership with the University.”
Johan Venter, Excellerate’s CEO added, “Our partnership with the University of Cambridge’s Estates Division demonstrates our ability to deliver at scale for world-leading institutions. It reflects both the strength of our operational expertise, and the trust placed in Excellerate to support environments where innovation, learning and discovery thrive. This is a strategically important contract that reinforces our commitment to sustainable growth and to building long-term impact for our clients.”
