New dates for the Cleaning Show 2021 announced

22 February 2021

THE ORGANISERS of the Cleaning Show have announced that the trade event has been rescheduled to 8 - 10 June 2021.

The show, which will take place at the ExCeL London, was originally due to happen this March but has been rearranged due to uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The organisers believe that by then, the worst of the pandemic will be over and that organised business events can take place safely and confidently. The safety and well-being of participants at the event is the number one priority.

Highlights of the planned show include:

  • The highly-topical conference programme
  • The Cleaning and Support Services Association’s (CSSA) Innovation Showcase
  • A new, dedicated demonstration area
  • The return of the Window Cleaning World Cup
  • The Cleaning Show Awards.

The Cleaning Show conference will address the big cleaning and hygiene issues and opportunities that could have an impact on the future of businesses and public sector organisations.

To name just a few of the topics which will be discussed:

  • The new normal for cleaning post-COVID-19
  • The role of training and education
  • Technological developments including autonomous cleaning machines
  • The green agenda for cleaning and hygiene

The show is hosting the CSSA’s Innovation Showcase for the first time. It will celebrate the cleaning industry’s most innovative products, services and initiatives. Another new feature, the window cleaning and carpet cleaning village, will provide a chance to try the latest products on offer, attend workshops and network with equipment providers.

Paul Thrupp, chairman of one of the organisers, The British Cleaning Council, said: “With so much uncertainty about the course of the pandemic over the near future, rescheduling the London Cleaning Show to June this year is the sensible thing to do. The safety of visitors and exhibitors will always be the top priority."

Jim Melvin, Deputy Chairman of the BCC, said: “The event is already shaping up to be very exciting and interesting for anyone connected with the cleaning and hygiene industry, with a huge amount to offer visitors and some great opportunities for exhibitors. I’m looking forward to it immensely.“

Attracting more than 7200 visitors, the London Cleaning Show is the UK’s largest cleaning and hygiene event.

The biannual event is free to attend and features a wide range of national and international exhibitors as well as an exciting conference programme of talks by leading industry figures and experts.
