On-demand staffing platform expands into supplying cleaners

22 April 2020

As demand grows for corporate and industrial cleaning in the current climate, staffing platform, Broadstone, has built a community of cleaners to service both industry leaders and SMEs alike.

Broadstone has been operating in the security sector for more than two years now with its platform connecting temporary workers with leading facilities management organisations - including G4S, ISS and OCS.

Tom Pickersgill, CEO of Broadstone, said: “With the success of Broadstone in the security sector, it had been our plan to launch the service to our cleaning colleagues later this year.

"With recent events, we’ve seen unprecedented demand for cleaners and it’s with the hard work of our team, we could bring this expansion forward to now. The most efficient process in which companies find and engage their workforce is changing fast, with temporary workers forming 20-30% of most large companies’ workforces within the next three to five years. We’re challenging the traditional method of temporary staffing much like FinTech companies are challenging traditional banking.”

Broadstone offers a staffing marketplace; with an app for workers, which allows them to take control of every element of their own employment, from shift schedules to pay. For organisations there is an online portal which allows them to schedule in workers to their shifts with ease, solving some typical problems in recruitment.

Broadstone also plans to further its integration partnerships over the coming months, allowing new time and attendance systems to seamlessly provide labour into their clients unfilled shifts.
