Sweeper selfies
17 December 2015
Daryl Scott, operations manager at East Staffordshire Borough Council, has staked his claim to social media fame by becoming the first to pose for a selfie as part of a competition run by cleaning machine specialist Hako.
Anyone who works with or operates a Hako machine is being invited to post a picture of themselves alongside the equipment with the #sweeperselfie for the chance to win a monthly prize.
Hako sales director Sylvie Giangolini said: "Every month we will be giving away a free goodie bag, or special one off prizes, for the best pictures to be uploaded to social media.
"The competition offers us the opportunity to show our appreciation for the many hard-working operators, and their managers, who are helping to keep Britain tidy with the help of Hako. At the same time they can have a little fun whilst showing off their photo skills."
The first picture to be entered in the selfie competition was taken when East Staffordshire Borough Council took delivery of four new Hako Citymaster 1600 sweepers.
