RP Adam signs Saudi deal

29 October 2015

RP Adam has confirmed a new Trademark and Manufacturing License Agreement with Abudawood Industrial Company for the manufacture of Arpal branded chemical products in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This historic deal serves to further cement, for the next decade and beyond, the long-standing relationship between the Adam and Abudawood families that dates back to 1987.

Robin Leith, managing director of RP Adam, said: "There are new family members involved in both businesses and with Max Adam and Omar Abudawood spearheading this new venture, we should see exponential growth over the next few years."

With a population of over 30 million people, the Saudi marketplace for institutional and industrial cleaning chemicals is said to be huge. There will be Arpal KSA branded industrial chemicals targeted at the construction, oil & gas, and mining sectors along with maintenance and hygiene chemicals for the institutional sector, with particular focus on floor care, kitchen hygiene and building services cleaning.

Max Adam, sales & marketing director, said of the business partnership: "We may have been together for almost three decades, and established a strong brand entity, but there will be a number of new, fresh ideas that we will be bringing to the market and my focus will be on helping Abudawood Trading Company (ATC) market a brand new Arpal KSA range. With web based marketing initiatives, social media and product training for the ATC sales teams, I am positive we can leverage the benefits of the Arpal brand and the Abudawood name to maximum effect."
