C2C certified dispensers
21 October 2013
Satino Blac, Dutch company Van Houtum’s sustainable brand, is reported to have launched the world's first Cradle to Cradle certified dispensers.
The dispensers are made from recycled plastic and complete the Cradle to Cradle (C2C) certified Satino Black product line, which consists of toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, foam soap, alcohol gel and toilet seat cleaner.
Among other benefits, the C2C certificate guarantees that the dispensers are free of harmful chemicals and therefore suitable for technical closed-loop recycling: the plastic can be re-used infinitely without loss of inherent value. The use of 100% green electricity to produce the products also guarantees CO2 neutrality.
A leader in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility, Van Houtum’s paper mill has produced the world's first and only C2C certified hygienic paper since 2010. This high-quality paper for toilet rolls and paper towels is made from 100% recycled paper and also carries the FSC recycled and European Eco-label hallmarks. The paper is produced in a completely CO2 neutral process.
