OCS wins BA laundry contract

23 October 2013

International total facilities management provider OCS has won a new five-year, multi-million pound contract with British Airways to provide aviation laundry services and headset recycling services.

The contract covers Heathrow and Gatwick and will be serviced at OCS’s laundry facilities in Stevenage and at its Heathrow Consolidation Centre. It is due to commence in October 2013 and has a two-year extension option. More than 200 OCS staff will be employed in servicing the contract.

OCS's Martin Gammon said: "The solution includes significant capital investment in new plant and machinery at the Stevenage facility. This investment will enable improvements in productivity, a reduction in energy and water consumption and an assurance that critical equipment is maintained at the current high levels.”
