Not even last year's sewage leak could stop Thanet's beaches from sweeping the board at the Blue Flag Awards this year, thanks in no small part to the expertise of Cleantec Innovation.

Not even last year's sewage leak could stop Thanet's beaches from sweeping the board at the Blue Flag Awards this year, thanks in no small part to the expertise of Cleantec Innovation.

The east Kent company's environmentally-aware cleaning products were used to clean sea defences and slipways during an on-going coastal clean-up operation, resulting in eight prestigious blue flags being awarded to the district's beaches. 'The products are free from harmful chemicals and solvents and also tackle grease, grime and residue,' says Jason Bailey, Cleantec Innovation's head of marine business development, 'for example, our Pro30 concrete and wood surface cleaner, has been used on wind turbines off the Kent coast since last February.' 'Cleantec has provided us with an environmentally-friendly product combined with a first-class service and technical support,' says Alan Cook, Thanet District Council.
