A questionnaire by UK cleaning industry blog www.cleanleanhealthcare.org highlighted the opportunities offered by efficient modern methods in NHS institutions, with 38% believing it is a priority.
James Blackhurst, MD of Jigsaw Cleaning Systems - which runs the blog - said that new methods must be top priority.
"Many hospitals continue to use traditional methods of cleaning, but healthcare cleaning products and methodologies have advanced a great deal in recent times and offer hospitals a more efficient and effective approach, while also potentially saving money.
"One issue is the dust that is generated each day.The solution is to use Masslinn cloths wherever possible to remove the dust before damp mopping".
