Round table: Exploring sustainability and innovation
13 March 2020
A Sustainability & Innovation Open Day, hosted by Rubbermaid Commercial Products, is to take place on 12 March 2020.
Visitors will be given the opportunity to explore the latest developments from Rubbermaid Commercial Products – and the chance to win £1000 of equipment for their facility.
The event takes place at Queen Elizabeth II Centre, London, SW1P 3EE between 10am and 4pm.
The Open Day will take visitors through the latest innovations in recycling, skin care, material handling, and cleaning & safety solutions.
Two special guest industry speakers will provide expert industry insight and there is the chance to discuss sustainability challenges with event partners InnuScience, UKHA, BICSc and Cleaning Matters.
A unique round table, hosted by Cleaning Matters' editor, Chris Shaw, will explore the measures taken to address the challenges of sustainable facilities.
Among the panel will be Cat Fletcher, an award-winning waste-prevention activist, researcher and practitioner. Cat is at the frontline of facilitating and accelerating reuse in Brighton (UK) and beyond. In 2009 Cat co-founded Freegle: UK's biggest online free reuse network now with 3million members. Each month Freele activity keeps around 500tonnes in circulation - and not in the bin - around the UK.
Michael Foreman, also taking part in the panel, has wide experience as an owner, managing director, senior strategic consultant and sales and marketing director. Michael heads up Don't Waste UK which provides unique waste management software and consultancy to commercial property owners and managers and whose mission is to protect the environment. The UK company was established in 2016 and now works with around 70 sites - with many of the leading property owners and management companies in the country.
The round table takes place on 12 March at 12pm.
