Navigate changes to recycling legislation

11 March 2026

IN 2026, Rubbermaid Commercial Products (RCP) is strengthening its commitment to helping organisations across Europe navigate changes to recycling legislation, improve recycling efficiency, reduce their environmental impact and increase operational productivity.

With regulatory updates on the horizon, at Interclean, RCP will be showcasing the latestaddition to its recycling and waste management range - sleek, space saving solutions designed for style and performance in light traffic areas.

Known for back-of-house icons like Slim Jim® and BRUTE®, RCP now introduces the Rubbermaid Range of light-traffic bins for smaller spaces and front-of-house environments. The range brings compact, pedal‑operated bins that blend sleek design with practical functionality. Engineered to maximise recycling opportunities even in smaller or high‑visibility spaces, these solutions support effective waste‑stream separation across areas such as offices, front‑of‑house spaces, and washrooms.

The lineup includes three distinct styles - the Stainless Steel Round Pedal Wastebasket, the Premier® Series (resin), and the Elite Series (stainless steel) - each created to meet different recycling and space needs. From compact options for discreet placement to higher‑capacity, dual‑stream designs for efficient segregation, every bin reflects RCP’s emphasis on helping organisations to improve recycling performance throughout their facilities.

At the show, visitors will also be able to get a preview of the Sustain range, a new front-of-house recycling system that offers a pleasing aesthetic with bespoke labelling options topromote recycling compliance. Alongside its waste management solutions, RCP will also be demonstrating its soon-to-be expanded material handling range of trucks and trollies designed to support the efficient and ergonomic transport of waste, goods and other materials to help enhance productivity and workflow.

Visitors to Interclean will be able to get hands on with CirculAir 90, RCP’s newly launched next‑generation passive air care system which has been engineered to deliver measurable environmental benefits. CirculAir 90 uses 36% fewer metal and mineral resources and produces 11% fewer greenhouse gas emissions across its entire lifecycle than its predecessor, TCell. Made from a single recyclable plastic for straightforward end‑of‑life disposal, its environmental impact credentials are supported by independent, third‑party verification, including an ISO‑compliant lifecycle assessment (in partnership with global climate consultancy South Pole) and RecyClass recyclability certification (UK, EU, CH, NO & US). It provides 90 days of continuous, battery‑free fragrance and is fully compatible with existing TCell dispensers.

Together, these developments demonstrate RCP’s strong 2026 vision: delivering forward‑thinking solutions that help organisations meet regulatory changes with confidence while driving meaningful improvements in recycling efficiency and productivity.
