Steam cleaning 'resurgence'

12 December 2016

The demand for ecological cleaning has seen an increase in the use of steam. The latest ‘dry’ steam machines can offer the versatility that every operator needs, according to Mike Osiadacz, sales director of Matrix Cleaning Systems.

He said: "Strange as it might seem in this digital age of disruptive new innovations, the ‘old’ technology of steam still deserves a place in the cleaning toolkit available for use in many market sectors today."

He added: "For many years steam has been used to remove grease and oil from kitchen machinery, because this is very visible and all catering equipment needs to be cleaned to the highest standards. More recently we have seen a growing increase in the application of steam for maintaining washroom hygiene. Walking into a clean and fresh washroom environment is always a pleasant experience, but unfortunately this is not a regular occurrence. When the hygiene standards fall we remember that bad experience, and avoid re-visiting."

Matrix says that every time you clean using its OMEGA steam machine you are carrying out a ‘Deep Clean’ using clean steam at a very high temperature. This ensures that all surfaces are clean and free from bacteria. From floor to ceiling, all sanitary surfaces can be cleaned using this powerful, robust and compact machine.
