Top marks from Mark 1
10 August 2015
Thanks to a major online investment, distributor Janitorial Direct has landed a first order to supply Prochem cleaning technology to fast-growing customer Mark 1 Hire.

When the Essex-based tool and equipment hire company, with depots in Southend, Rayleigh and Chelmsford, decided to replace its supplier of cleaning machines, it went online to source solutions.
The search process introduced the company to Prochem via the newly-revamped website of its Kidderminster-based distributor Janitorial Direct, where machinery sales supervisor Sophie Bale took on the enquiry.
"We’d recently revised our site to include added e-commerce capability," she explained. "Consequently, we came up quickly in Mark 1’s search and when they got in contact we quickly identified solutions to their needs from the Prochem range."
Mark 1 were impressed by the Steempro Powermax and Bravo Plus portable carpet & upholstery spot cleaning machine and Prochem sales manager Phil Jones was soon visiting its head office in Rochford to demonstrate the machines’ capabilities.
"They liked the Bravo Plus because it’s simple for their consumer customers to use," Sophie said. "There’s no set-up time and the machine is simple to unload and begin cleaning immediately. It’s really compact in size and manoeuvrable so it’s ideal for spotting and quick cleaning of small carpeted areas, upholstery and car interiors."
Mark 1 have ordered three Bravo Plus machines to start with along with a Steempro Powermax. A high power carpet extractor for the single operator, the Powermax incorporates a large 35 litre solution tank in a compact body design for maximum efficiency and portability. It also features an internal "whisper quiet" silencer and upright mounted motors with intercooler unit.
Janitorial Direct expect further orders from Mark 1 Hire to supply more of its depots.
