Innovation & inspiration at Facilities Show 2015
11 June 2015
The Facilities Show will return to ExCel London from 16 -18 June 2015 to deliver access to knowledge, innovation and solutions from across the facilities management (FM) sector
This year, the Facilities Show will include an innovation trail that will run across the event, highlighting all the latest products and services that have come to market. Innovation will not stop there. The Innovation Awards will highlight the best from the innovation trail at the show, rewarding those products or services that the judges feel truly stand out from the crowd.
New for the event is an Inspirational Speaker Series with three high-profile personalities covering the sports, business and extreme adventure worlds. All have reached the pinnacle of their careers and will share their expertise and unique experiences with the audience. In its inaugural year the Inspirational Speaker Series will host leading businesswoman Baroness Karren Brady CBE, the world’s most renowned explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes OBE and Britain’s greatest Olympian Sir Chris Hoy MBE across the three days.
Cleaning showcase
The cleaning industry will also be well represented as one of the ‘traditional’ sectors of FM. The wide range of exhibitors relevant to cleaning at the Facilities Show will showcase a selection of products and services, from basic cleaning products and disposables all the way through to hi-tech, energy saving hand dryers. Exhibitors already confirmed include Clean Sweep UK, Gojo Industries, Propelair, Soluclean and Truvox International, to name a few.
This year the show has also partnered with Ceris Burns International, specialist international PR and communications agency for the cleaning, facilities management, recycling and waste management industries, to support the messaging within this critical sector.
Fergus Bird, group event manager, UBM Live, said: "Innovation was a key theme in all of our research and feedback after the 2014 event so it is with great pleasure that we announce our plans for the Facilities Show 2015, providing leadership and inspiration for this diverse and forward-thinking sector.
"Another element we are really excited about this year is the engagement we have from the Total Facilities Management companies. Once again Mitie will be show partners but this year we have already confirmed that CBRE, Vinci Facilities, Bouygues and Bilfinger will all have a significant presence at the Facilities Show, highlighting the importance of the show across the entire FM industry."
Educational opportunities
The Facilities Show annually brings the full FM industry together, held in association with British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) along with show partners Mitie and partners The Building Futures Group, The Chartered Institute of Building Service Engineers (CIBSE), FMJ and International Workplace, amongst others.
The event will provide three full days of tailored content that meets the complex and ever changing needs of facility managers with a comprehensive programme created in consultation with the industry.
Educational areas include the BIFM Careers Zone, with a series of advice clinics, workshops and seminars delivered by BIFM in collaboration with management consultants, training organisations and specialist recruiters. Also at the show is the Workplace Interiors Theatre and the Facilities Show Seminar Theatre, hosting a series of case studies and panel sessions designed to provoke debate and challenge assumptions.
Facilities Show will be presented as part of UBM EMEA’s Protection & Management Series. The Protection & Management Series encompasses five major shows in related marketplaces covering safety, service management, facilities, security and fire. The overall ethos of the series is about protecting and managing buildings and places of work, along with the people and information within those places of work.
