London move gets thumbs up for Facilities Show
28 January 2014
Facilities Show, the global facilities management event, is recording significant growth with stand space sales up by 38%, with over 160 exhibitors already confirmed.
The London event, in association with BIFM, is expecting to receive record visitor numbers between June 17-19.
"It is a very competitive space, facilities management, and with the level of attendees at Facilities Show, it is the prime spot to meet buyers.’’ said Fergus Bird, group event manager, UBM Live. "With the economy in a better state than it has been in years, companies are expecting big results from the show, and we’ll have 400 exhibitors with us this year”.
FM companies exhibiting in June include: MITIE Group, CBRE Norland, PHS Group, Vinci and SGP. In addition to these, leading names such as Avery UK, Bybox Field Support, Dyson, Panasonic, Mitsubishi Electric, Kingspan Environmental, Helistrat Management, Miko Coffee, Office Depot, Trade Point, Stannah Lifts, Screwfix and Euroworkspace will all be participating at London ExCeL.
2014 marks a new chapter for Facilities Show as it takes residence in its new home in London. The show, now in its 15th year, said a fond farewell to Birmingham’s NEC in 2013.
A key reason for the decision to move was access to the capital’s business opportunities, which includes international visitors, end users and FTSE 500 companies. Show organisers have secured discounted rates on flights into London city airport, with UK transport providers such as Virgin & TFL and Hotels around ExCel and in the heart of London.
In addition to the exhibition showcasing innovation and product launches, there are numerous features and networking opportunities available including:
·BIFM Networking Hub
·Innovation Trail
·Facilities Academy
·Speakers Corner
·Dragons Den
·Networking Bar
·Buddy System
·Buying Request Service
Facilities Show will offer quality conference education sessions that will incorporate seminars, workshops, industry debates and panel sessions along with a theatre dedicated to CPD accredited content. The programme is set to be announced in early March.
The show will be co-located with IFSEC, FIREX, Energy & Environment Expo, Service Management Expo and the Safety & Health Expo, IOSH 2014 Conference and 2014 RoSPA awards. In total, the shows, which make up the ‘Protection & Management Series’, are expecting 45,000 visitors over the three days in June.
