French connection
16 January 2015
Recycling giant bpi.recycled products is moving into a new market, with its first sacks contract in France.

The UK manufacturer is to supply France’s Saumur Council with its EN13592 accredited mixed-waste sacks. The one-year contract is for the collection of selected waste streams including plastic bottles, metal packaging, cardboard cartons and drinks containers.
BPI RP’s commercial director Lorcan Mekitarian said: "We hope to build our presence in France following this first order. Bpi is able to produce a wide range of refuse sacks across a variety of applications and market sectors, adhering to required standards and accreditations."
Sacks for the French market have to be EN13592 accredited. Bpi.recycled products’ sacks have AFNOR Certification which provides a written assurance that the product conforms to the specified requirements.
BPI RP’s yellow-tinted drawstring sacks have text on the outside stating the different types of waste that can be put inside.
