A Fila cleaning, protection and maintenance regime has been specified at the new Oxford Mathematical Institute.

The new £55m building, which will house all of Oxford’s mathematicians under one roof, is the University’s largest building project for more than a century. The design incorporates Spanish Blue Limestone throughout the reception area and main staircase, and Cumbria Porcelain tiles throughout the basement mezzanine floor.
All surfaces were installed and Fila treated by W B Simpson (MIDLANDS). FILA Cleaner was used to carry out an initial wash. The highly concentrated water-based formula is pH-neutral, requires no rinsing when used in the maintenance dilution and leaves no residue.
LEED-compliant FILAW68 – a water-based stain-proofing protector – was then applied; the non film-forming treatment seals and protects without altering appearance.
FILA Deterdek was also specified for the mezzanine area. The fumeless ‘all-in-one’ descaling detergent gives an impressive deep clean, without altering appearance. Unlike traditional deep cleaners, it is also free from muriatic acid, so it will not erode aluminium or steel – or present a hazard to users or the environment.
