Shine a light on cleaning
19 June 2013
MBR UV-C Light Products sources and supplies UV-C germicidal light cleaning solutions. The hand-held products use UV-C light technology for use in a commercial environment alongside daily cleaning as part of a best practice regime.
Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) is a disinfection method that uses ultraviolet (UV) light to kill microorganisms for extra protection after cleaning. The products are 100% chemical free, and quick and easy to use on all hard and soft surfaces, keyboards and phones.
They work by destroying the nucleic acids in organisms so that their DNA is disrupted by the UV radiation, leaving them unable to perform vital cellular functions such as reproduction. UV-C light technology is safe to use; UV-C doesn't normally reach the earth, whereas longer range UV, such as UV-A and UV-B, does; these longer range UV frequencies can cause damage to humans through exposure and because they produce ozone which is damaging to inhale in quantity. UV-C does neither of these things and is harmless to anyone other than the germs! UV-C light kills 99.9% of bacteria and viruses (including H1N1, E. Coli, MRSA), mould, dust mites, fleas, bed bugs and their eggs
