Tough work needs soft, strong handcare

Workers in heavy industries are prone to occupational dermatitis issues from harmful skin irritants, leaving their bosses exposed to compensation claims of over £100,000 and productivity losses.

The Skin Health Programme for Tough Soil Environments from GOJO aims to tackle this with a total regime of tough new dispensers, cleaning and skin conditioning products, site audits and staff training resources.

The range includes a product new to Europe - ECO SOY Foaming Hand Cleaner in the new GOJO DPX foam soap dispenser.

"Products and dispensers have to be relevant to the market place," says Suzanne De Maine, "Workers need to see them as being robust enough.

"If workers continually use lowgrade cleaners and don't condition their skin, their hands get dry, cracked and open to infection." Products in the GOJO range use mild but effective cleansers to remove soils gently, alongside products to condition the skin.
