Ravensdale Junior
School is a member of
the Eco-Schools
scheme and has
identified the Jet Towel
hand dryer from
Mitsubishi Electric, as
the potential answer
to their worries
regarding the
environment.
The school had a visit from John Rowely from Mitsubishi, together they worked out the energy saving potential over conventional dryers.
When hands are placed into the slot,a high speed air blast is triggered that blows the water off and isolates it in a receptor tank at the base of the hand dryer. This is different to normal hand dryers which blow warmed air over the hands to evaporate water.
Hand drying takes an estimated 10 seconds with a Jet Towel, less than a quarter of the time it takes with a warm air dryer.
