Taking giant steps for a smaller foot print

The Nilfisk Group recognized that as a large organisation they needed to work actively on reducing their carbon foot print.

As a result, the Group is a proud signatory to the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and are enrolled as a participant within the Carbon Disclosure Project.

In a bid to cut travel emissions Nilfisk have equipped 11 video rooms at offices in several countries.The investment is expected to enhance general communication in addition to saving cost and travel time.

The Nilfisk UK/IE subsidiary has recently outlined a new vehicle policy across the fleet.

Changes to sales vehicles are already under way as well as changes to the service van fleet.

UK general manager, Stewart Dennett commented,"Our collective CO2 emissions will fall significantly as a result of the new policy."
