Blueleaf Care launches new plant-based cleaning range to support care homes

03 September 2024

A NEW range of plant-based, biological cleaning products has been innovated and launched by care home provider, Blueleaf Care, to help deliver the highest hygiene standards with minimal impact to the environment.

The n-kind product range is created using 100% biodegradable and plant-based ingredients. The bio-technology used within n-kind provides a gentle alternative to harsh chemicals and corrosive products and make for a deeper, longer-lasting and more natural clean that is also non-hazardous for people and animals.

The new range centres around two core concentrate solutions - elimin8 and clean15 - that cover the majority of cleaning and disinfecting tasks across a care home, enabling care homes to simplify their processes and drastically reduce the number of products they use. This in turn reduces the amount of product training required, helping to maximise efficiency and accessibility within the care home.

elimin8 is an 8-in-1 anti-viral, anti-bacterial disinfectant that is completely plant-based and non-hazardous and has been extensively tested to ensure suitability for use in a care setting. It conforms to BS EN 14476 and BS EN 1276 and has an industry leading 30-second contact time for excellent infection control and cleaning performance for any hard surface. clean15 is a 15-in-1 cleaner and deodoriser that can be used on anything from bathrooms to upholstery, and reduces the number of products often used in a care setting.

Both elimin8 and clean15 are available in concentrated formulas, with sustainable packaging made from recycled plastics, therefore reducing the carbon emissions associated with packaging and transportation.

To support n-kind customers, Blueleaf will provide full transparency about the Scope 3 emissions within the supply chain so that they are better equipped to make informed decisions. Blueleaf can assess individual customer orders and in doing so, make recommendations on how to reduce Scope 3 emissions, cut costs, and drive greater efficiencies.

The n-kind collection is further enhanced by the comprehensive training support, knowledge sharing and best practice guidance offered by the Blueleaf Care team to ensure the products are used correctly to optimise product usage and further reduce costs.

Ellen Brown, Sales and Marketing Director of Blueleaf Care, says that these innovative products create a legacy that is kinder to the environment and the people who use them: “Hygiene within the care home sector is clearly important so to be able to offer our customers alternative cleaning products that are effective, more sustainable and non-hazardous is a ‘win win’ for all concerned.”
