New COSHH risk assessment portal
01 May 2024
EVANS VANODINE'S COSHH Risk Assessment Portal has been upgraded with new features, to assist users of its product to create reports and better understand the process.
COSHH, CONTROL Of Substances Hazardous to Health, risk assessments are an essential part of health and safety management, which help employers identify the necessary precautions to protect their employees from potentially harmful substances.
Assessments involve identifying the hazardous substances present in the workplace, evaluating the risks associated with them, and implementing control measures to minimise the risks of injury or ill health.
The dashboard and menus have been re-designed to make it easier to navigate and locate functions. Evans has introduced a new ‘Locations’ section, to allow multiple sites/work areas to be input onto a single account. Following customer feedback, the company has now created an area where users can upload their company logo, to personalise all downloadable content of the completed COSHH assessment reports.
The Evans Vanodine COSHH Risk Assessment Portal is available to all approved Evans Vanodine distributors and their customers. Existing users can access the new portal using their current login details. New users will first need to register, using the link obtained from their account manager. Registration may take up to 48 hours (please check spam/junk folders).
An updated electronic User Guide is available, to help navigate the portal and create assessment reports, which can be downloaded HERE.
To assist its customers further, Evans offers free COSHH online training (RoSPA approved). Access to Evans E-Learn can be found via the risk assessment portal dashboard. Find out more about our COSHH training HERE.
COSHH risk assessments should be conducted by a competent person from your organisation, who has the necessary skills, knowledge and experience to carry out a particular task safely and effectively. Regular reviews of the assessment should be conducted to ensure that the control measures are effective and up to date.
