Originating in New Zealand in 2015, and now in its fourth year, Thank Your Cleaner Day is a global initiative for businesses all over the world to recognise the hard work of these often invisible cleaning heroes to let them know they are valued and appreciated.

Kärcher, which developed the idea into the campaign that it is today, is partnering with the CSSA plus other cleaning industry associations and cleaning contractors to spread the word and encourage universal recognition on this day. 

Various activities are taking place in companies in order to show appreciation and acknowledgement of their service. Over the years activities have included colourful events such as joint breakfasts, barbecues, and morning and afternoon teas for the cleaning teams.

The feedback from the cleaning industry and the clients celebrating this day with their cleaning contractor has been very positive; Thank Your Cleaner Day becomes bigger every year. Seven countries took part in 2017, this year 11 countries are getting ready to showcase their cleaning industries.
