Facility recycling: meet the new Method

Method opened their first London based office in September 2018, in just 6 months they have grown their client list and have supplied UK facilities including world-renowned architecture firm Foster + Partners, the Design Council, Level 39 and more. 

The Method bins were designed by Steven and India Korner, who wanted to make a visible difference to workplace recycling behaviours. The Korners spent three years mastering Method’s Signature 60L Office Recycling Bins and packaging, holding focus groups, preparing prototypes, and even assisting cleaners on night-shifts.

The hard work paid off. 

Method pioneered the philosophy of Open Plan Recycling, bringing eye-catching recycling bins out into the open plan design of modern spaces. They have found continued behaviour change as the visible bins reinforce accountability, a key factor they have found for success. 

Designed for purpose, the bins benefit all groups involved in the recycling and waste system of a building. For Facility Managers, they are operationally efficient, achieving greater diversion of waste without intervention. Further, with communal recycling stations, there are fewer bins and liners to purchase and service, saving time and money. This represents significant savings for a facility over the course of a year.
