Tee up for the 2017 Cleaning Industry Charity (CIC) Golf Open

19 April 2017

It's not too late to secure your place at the 2017 Cleaning Industry Charity (CIC) Golf Open, which takes place at Kingswood Golf Club on 11th May! The popular annual event is hosted by The Hill Club - the exclusive cleaning industry networking event organisation - in partnership with Cleaning Matters, the industry's leading media publication.

Kingswood Golf Club is one of the leading courses in Surrey. This mature course was designed in the 1920’s by the five times open champion, James Braid, and is comprised of 6,900 yards of golfing experience. Having undergone extensive re-design and construction under the guidance of Howard Swan, recognised course architect for James Braid designed courses, the course now boasts some fantastic "signature" holes and most notably the par 3s and 5s have become the most talked about by anyone visiting Kingswood.

The charity golf day will commence at 11:30 when tea, coffee & bacon rolls will be served on arrival. Tee times will begin at 12:30 sharp with teams of 4 playing the superb 18 hole course. Once the day's golfing has concluded and scores have been checked, players will retire to the clubhouse for a few drinks before enjoying a two-course meal at 18:30 where, following presentations from charities Prostate Cancer UK and Eve Appeal, trophies and prizes will be presented.

Individual player fees are just £82.00 which includes a donation to each charity. Hole sponsorship is also available at £99.00 which includes the supply of a logo/name banner.

Prizes will be awarded for:-

  • CIC Golf Open Team winner trophies
  • Longest drive competition
  • Nearest the pin competition
  • Par 3 birdie competition

The organisers are delighted to welcome any non-golfers - or others who are unable to attend the whole day - for dinner only at a cost of £29.00 per head.

The Kingswood Golf Club also offers overnight accommodation and rooms, along with buggies, which can be reserved by calling the club's reception on: 01737 832188.

Cleaning Matters’ sales manager Iain Houston said: "In 2016, we raised over £1000 for charity and - as this has always been a tremendously well supported event - we sincerely hope that, with your help, we can exceed this figure and make this our biggest charity gift yet!"
