I.C.E. training workshop announced

11 August 2014

ISSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association, and BBS (BICS Business Services) has announced details of its second “Industry Certification Expert” (I.C.E.) training workshop.

These workshops form an integral part of ISSA’s Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) which launched in the UK and Ireland earlier this year.

The workshop will be run by ISSA’s partner BBS and will be held on 17th September, 2014 at The Forest of Arden Hotel and Country Club in Birmingham.

Registration should be made by email to: [email protected]

CIMS is a consensus-based management standard geared toward validating and improving the professionalism of cleaning service providers.

Certification to the CIMS Standard is designed to provide a clear way for a contract cleaning company to differentiate itself from its competition through demonstrating a commitment to quality, as well as a keen focus on customer satisfaction, continual operational improvement, and best use of resources.

"These are exciting times for the industry, CIMS gives organisations the opportunity to distinguish themselves as a true innovator and leader within the marketplace,” Justin Calver from BBS said.

Manufacturers and distributors, training and consultancy firms also have the opportunity with CIMS to expand their industry knowledge and strengthen their customer relationships by assisting customers in preparation for CIMS certification. To do this, individuals are encouraged to participate in September’s I.C.E. training workshop and pass an examination to become an "Industry Certification Expert".

This new workshop date follows the success of the first I.C.E. training event in March 2014. Further I.C.E. workshops in the UK and Ireland for 2015 will be announced in the coming weeks.
