Smile if you recycle

Indesit UK, the well-known manufacturer of large appliances, decided to upgrade its recycling scheme earlier this year at a time which coincided with Leafield Environmental's launch of its novelty Buddy Bins.

The new, durable, smiley face bins were designed with schools in mind but the appealing faces in WRAP compliant colours also appealed to the environmental manager at Indesit UK. 'We chose the Smiley Face bins as they are unusual,' explains Sian Hughes- Jones. 'We thought it would make our onsite recycling project more fun too.' The novelty bins are to be installed in a new facility in the next quarter and should make a positive contribution to Indesit hitting its recycling targets.
