New labs give live use testing

Dr Weigert's research and development, analytics and microbiology departments have moved into a brand new, purpose built facility at the company's head office in Hamburg.

Focussing on its customers, Dr Weigert has clear ambitions for the output from the new facility: The development of innovative and highperformance cleaners, disinfectants and decontamination products The provision of key services to customers of the R&D, analytics and microbiology departments The maintenance of its high quality products.

Employees use the most up-todate analysis methods such as IR and UV/VIS spectroscopy, HPLC, mass spectrometry and gas chromatography.

"The new facility allows us to replicate our customer's daily working practices," says Alan Abbatt, general manager at Dr Weigert.

Washer-disinfectors for reprocessing medical devices are installed together with dishwashers that are commonly used in commercial kitchens. This 'live use' is an essential tool for assessing cleaning results.
