Leadership Award.
SCA's resource management system has been designed in-house and involves the systematic collection, analysis and presentation of sustainability data from the organisation's operations worldwide.The system is verified each year by a third party.
SCA's New Economy Carbon Leadership Award is the latest in a series of sustainability accolades.
In January SCA appeared in the list of the world's 100 Most Sustainable Corporations for the sixth year running - and was the only tissue company to do so.
According to awards project director Nelson Black: "The winners are those who have gone far beyond their formal requirement for regulatory and voluntary frameworks.
They are fully transparent in their disclosures and have shown best practice when interacting with investors and stakeholders."
