Chemical-free cleaning tool wins BTA New Product Award

07 March 2013

The Activeion ionator EXPTM, the handheld chemical-free cleaning tool that ionises tap water into a powerful bacteria-killing cleanser has just won the British Toilet Association's New Product Award for 2010. This follows the recent winning of the Italian AFIDAMP Green Award 2010 for Eco-Design and Innovation for environmental sustainability, and the gaining of a place in the top 10 in Germany's Industriepreis Awards for 2010.

Following its European launch, the ionator EXPTM is said to have taken the European cleaning industry by storm. The product, which looks like a trigger spray bottle, is simply filled with half a litre of tap water, with nothing added.

Squeezing the trigger activates both electrolysis and electroporation technologies to create temporarily ionised water that lifts dirt and kills pathogens. Key to the success of the Activeion technology is the fact that it enables totally chemical-free cleaning that not only lifts the toughest dirt so that it can be wiped away, but also kills 99.9% of all bacteria and some viruses, including the swine-flu virus.

People everywhere can now clean and kill germs on virtually any surface without having to use toxic general-purpose cleaning chemicals. As a result, the repeated high expense, potentially toxic harm, and enormous packaging waste from general-purpose cleaning chemicals can now be eliminated.
