Biodegradable graffiti removal

19 November 2020

IMPERIAL, PART of the Holchem Group, recently launched the Blitz Graffiti Removal Programme of products.

The comprehensive range is designed for use on public buildings, railway stations and public walls and tackles graffiti created by pen, all types of paint, permanent markers and felt pens on a range of different surfaces.

The range is biodegradable, complies with the EU regulation REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) and is continually reviewed by Imperial for performance, safety and environmental impact.   None of the Imperial Blitz range of products carry a “hazardous to the environment” pictogram.

The range includes:

  • Blitz Green Gel – tackles spray paint
  • Blitz Super Gel – tackles paint on previously painted surfaces and permanent markers
  • Blitz GS Gel - tackles all types of paint and including acrylics, and metallics
  • Blitz Ghost – to be used in conjunction with Blitz GS Gel or Blitz Super Gel
  • Blitz Graffiti wipes– tackles paint, biro and permanent markers
  • Blitz Dry Wipes – felt pen, permanent markers and paint
  • Blitz Finishing Detergent – designed for final cleaning of graffiti free surfaces.

Pam Cullinane from Imperial said: "The Blitz range represents a new generation of graffiti removal products in that it counteracts the fact that traditionally graffiti removing chemicals are often very aggressive and can have serious detrimental effects on health and the environment. All the range is biodegradable and doesn’t carry a hazardous to the environment picogramme.

"The comprehensive range includes a number of effective products that work hard to help remove graffiti first time and effectively. It’s important to ensure that graffiti is removed as soon as possible and it’s always sensible to use the least invasive method possible. This will generally result in the most economic use of chemicals, do the least damage during the cleaning and create the least waste to be disposed of.”

The launch is supported by comprehensive information sheets.
